INTRO: BASIC SHOOTING POSITIONS

In this article you are going to learn how to position yourself in a bunker so that you make the smallest target possible, while still retaining the capability of shooting fast and accurate.

If you're new to paintball then you ought to study this article like a catholic priest does an altar boy... Your effectiveness as a player depends on it. Positioning is the number one mistake I see rookie players make - so read and learn.

If you're a skilled player then you should already know this stuff, but it never hurts to brush up, right? Skim through and see if anything catches your eye.

There are 7 basic shooting stances all players should practice and master. All other positions are merely derivitives of these basic forms. Employed correctly these stances will minimize you as a target and keep you from getting hit as often as you might if you don't use them.
