OPENINGÂ STRATEGY
The first 30 seconds of a game of speedball can sometimes determine the outcome. Getting from your starting position to your assigned bunker quickly is critical. Your opponents will be laying down a stream of paint in the travel zones and you may run into paintballs being shot down these lanes if you're not careful. Keep your head down and your eyes up as you run. This will minimize you as a target and allow you to see where the paint is coming from.
Players moving to the front shouldn't waste time trying to tag opponents - let the back players take care of business while you get into positon... If you get too busy firing your position will suffer and you may end up needing to share a bunker - a very bad idea. At the beginning of the game, it is critical to get into the right positions, so let the back players cover you.
