PLANNING
Before the game, if at all possible, scout the field. Walk around the bunkers as a team and talk with each other about the strengths and weaknesses of each possible position. Both front and back players need to know how to position themselves on the field. This doesn't take long to do, but it can really make the difference in your first few games at a new field.
Get to know the angles you would get from taking up a position at various bunkers. When planning movements, be sure to pick destinations you know you can get to under cover. You don't want to be out in the open for long - unless you'd like a different color jersey :)
It's best to take a longer route using bunkers, near or far, as cover than to go directly to your destination having to pass through a wide open area.
